The founder of Mycenae was Pereus; the descendent of the king Eurystheus Agamemnon left to fight in battle in Troy and the son Pelopia named Aegisthus went after the throne and Agamemnon’s wife Clytemnestra The two ruled over the land until Agamemnon returned, so together they killed him Ortestes( Agamemnon’s son) revenged his fathers death and killed both his mother and Aegisthus
Basic armour was worn Armour consisted of thick heavy linen or leather possibly metal fittings for reinforcement Very little was worn in battle because of the extreme heat Metal helmets and shoulder pads may have been worn to protect the upper body Chariots were used as a weapon if used on the right terrain, but chariots had a second use as a transportation device Regular troops traveled by foot but others on horse drawn chariots Weapons were kept in royal residence, weapons included; swords, daggers, doubled axes, arrows and spears. Every man was expected to own his own weapons and use them when it was required to help the military
