Vietnam had there up and downs through the years. They picked up the pieces and built something that was once lost. From there they’ve grown so much. Until now Vietnam have not fallen and are still progressing. Vietnam is known for there bright spirits, determination and faith. The concepts that make Vietnam successful are culture, which kept the people alive and determined, Economy progression which gave them that push they needed to achieve greatness and success, and History which taught them to learn from there mistakes and benefit them. All in the entire world can learn a lot from Vietnams present day.
First, Vietnams culture really built self of strength and faith for there country as a nation. Both the government and the people connected through culture in a deeper meaning. Culture gave them a sense of hope and determination for a better tomorrow. Vietnam diverse culture was recognized all over the world. Vietnam's number of visitors for tourism and vacation has increased steadily over the past ten years. About 3.56 million international guests visited Vietnam in 2006, an increase of 3.7% from 2005 because of its staggering Culture (1). Vietnam had the opportunity to share there culture with Soviet Union, China, Cuba and represent world peace. Since the 1990s, Vietnam has seen a greater exposure to Southeast Asian, European and American culture and media (2). The world can learn a lot from Vietnams present day culture and connect to the world in a deeper meaning,
Second, world can learn from Vietnam’s success, Vietnam is the second fastest growing economy since the Vietnam War. Vietnamese people live for the future and not the past. They always have a smile on there face even though the incomes low and economy is failing. They have gone through hell and now are continuing to grow extremely fast. In the last five years, Vietnam has clocked average GDP growth of 7.4%, better than any Asian economy except China's (3).Vietnam's main stock exchange, launched in Ho Chi Minh City six years ago, is still embryonic, with 50 firms and a market capitalization of only $3 billion. At least 30 new stock offerings are expected before year-end (4). The world can learn a lot from Vietnams Success from there tactics.
Third, Vietnam is known for the biggest and violent war ever and it’s called the Vietnam War! The Vietnam War really caused the nation to develop knowledge, Military, who to trust (countries), government, technology/weapons, safety of citizens etc… And the mistake they made hurt the economy really bad however learned never to do it and they also learned to be prepared for future attacks. Vietnam has weapons and aircrafts like A-1 sky raider built in the early 1970s and weapons like 48N6E2 missiles (5). They also progressed in whom to trust so they joined organization called the world trade organization Vietnam is the 150th country to join on January 11 2007(6). The world can learn a lot from Vietnam’s progress in Military, government and WTO.
My conclusion is simple. If we learn from Vietnams Mistakes and success and Progression we ourselves will rise like they did and build a great nation. Culture, Economy progression, and history wise. Vietnam gave us the opportunity to learn from them even though they didn’t have any body to learn from. We should take this advantage and better our nation. Vietnam is our role model.
