- No one lived more than 35 miles from the ocean.
- In fact, most citizens lived around 10-15 miles from the ocean.
- The ocean was a very route leading to other cities and towns in Greece.
- Ships and boats were used for transportations of goods and people.
- Oxcarts, wagons and chariots were modes of terrestrial transports.
- Using horses as way to get places was very common. (other animals were also used)

- The civilization was made of warriors.
- Their weapons were made of gold and bronze. (Iron was not available at the time)
