- Olive orchards were planted to produce olive oil.
- Olive oil was used for food and as body oil (perfumes)
- Grapes were grown for wine.
- Flax was grown for linen clothing.
- Figs were planted also.
- Their livestock consisted mostly of sheep and goats.
- Cows and pigs were also found but were less common.
- Horses were kept to pull chariots, carts etc.
- Trade with other countries was very common and goods such as olive oil, bronze weapons, barley were very popular among foreigners.

- The people lived near the water that they used to travel back and forth of other Mycenaean states.
