" The Navajos are an Indian tribe occupying the South-Western part of the United States. Navajos refer to themselves as Dineh, meaning "the people." The Navajos came to the United States from and Canada, between the l3OO's and the 1600's. The Navajos are a unique and powerful tribe, they have established their own ways of living, and techniques used day to day. From the houses they live in, called Hogan’s, which are made of mud, and have no windows. To their unique blankets, which they learned to make from their Pueblo neighbours. The Navajos are a independent and self sufficient and have made their own name to be recognized. For these reasons we can learn much from the Navajos." | |
